Welcome to Suncoat Water Based Nail Polish & Sugar Based Mascaras...
We have chosen colours which are suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans: carmine free! Suncoat water-based nail polish is the most natural nail polish available today. It contains 60-70% of the natural ingredient, water, and the rest of the nail polish is comprised of mainly film-formers, acrylic copolymer and styrene-acrylic copolymer. These synthetic film formers are unavoidable for a nail polish to be durable. They are the plastics that coat the nails with a film after the polish dries without harming the nails. The other 1-10% of ingredients in water-based nail polish, are film-forming aids, soap and 1-3% of natural colorants (made up of earth mineral pigments).
Uniquely, Suncoat does not contain formaldehyde, toluene, any phthalates, alcohol or even any acetates. Suncoat Water-based nail polish is as natural as you can get whilst still having a fast-drying and long-lasting polish. This formula is the perfect balance between purity and performance.
There has not been a quality water-based nail polish on the market until now as it is very difficult to formulate. Water-based nail polish has been a long held dream for cosmetic scientists. Many of the major cosmetic companies have attempted to develop water-based nail polishes but have not been successful as there are major technical difficulties such as the lack of adhesion to human nails and slow drying time. Suncoat Products Inc. has also faced these challenges yet has persevered for a long time to overcome them. Thanks to the expertise of Yingchun Liu, the chemist and inventor behind water-based nail polish, Suncoat finally broke through, and came up with an innovative technology that makes today’s Suncoat water-based nail polish quick drying, and long lasting.
Formaldehyde and toluene-free chemical nail polish is not comparable to water-based nail polish. These nail polishes are better but are still chemical solvent-based nail polishes containing acetates, are still the major ingredients in the polish comprising 60-70%. These nail polishes still give off chemical fumes, pollute the air, have an offensive odour, and are highly flammable and explosive. They still harm nails, making the nails yellow, brittle and weak.
In water-based nail polish, all the chemical solvents are replaced by water. Toluene and formaldehyde-free nail polish is only one step forward while Suncoat water-based Nail Polish is a revolutionary advance!
How do I use Suncoat Water-Based Nail Polish?
In preparation for using Suncoat water-based nail polish, ensure that your nails are dry and free of grease, skin lotion, and dirt. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Soap and water can also be used to clean the nails. Oil and skin lotion repel water-based polish, so they may significantly affect the polish’s durability.
Apply thin coats to avoid streaking. Brush on lightly and evenly. Two coats, or more, are needed for a long-lasting finish. Allow the polish to dry between coats - 60 seconds, or more, depending on the humidity and temperature. The polish may look streaky when wet and just applied, but will dry to a uniform colour.
Suncoat Crystal Clear Top Coat: is applied for a greater resistance to chipping and gives that extra professional touch to your manicure. It also enables the finish to last up to 2 - 3 days longer.
Due to the high water content of Suncoat’s Nail Polish extra care is required with immersion in hot water (showers, baths, and washing dishes) for the first 4 hours after application. It is usually fine to use warm water after one hour as long as the polish is not scratched afterwards. Although dry to the touch, the polish is still drying and curing throughout the day (or overnight if applied in the evening) and becomes increasingly durable with time unlike conventional polishes.
Colour Intensity: Some of the nail polish colours may not be as intense as they look in the bottle. This is partly because earth pigments are being used to colour the nail polish. Apply a minimum of 2 coats and then additional thin coats to strengthen the colour.
Suncoat Water-based nail polish has been formulated to adhere well to the nail bed. If left on nails for an extended time, it may require a little more effort to remove. For easy removal, remove the polish weekly.
Please note: whilst these ingredients are far better than any other nail polish I have ever come across, there are still some chemicals in these nail polishes that some of our customers would still like to avoid. But because so many customers want a 'better' nail polish we decided to retail them... besides from a personal point of view, I do miss painting my nails...!!

How do I use Suncoat's Nail Polish Remover?
Remove polish weekly with Suncoat Nail Polish Remover. Hold the remover on your nails with a well-soaked cotton ball, allowing at least 2 minutes for the remover to penetrate and soften the polish. Then rub the nails until the polish is fully removed. One liberally soaked cotton ball is usually enough to clean all your nails as the remover liquid evaporates slowly. Repeat if necessary.
