You should always carry out a strand test on both grey and dark hair, this will enable you to see what the overall colour change appearance will be. You should leave the dye on the hair for an hour and a half. Tip: if the unlikely event the strand test hair changes red or orange use vinegar to neutralise the reaction.

The strand test is a recommended part of the colouring process. Because results will vary according to the type and condition of your hair at a given time, it is a good idea to do a strand test before using this product. Some variables that will affect results include the amount of grey in your hair, residue from shampoos, conditioners and styling products, build-up from chlorine and other chemicals, damage from salon or home treatments and the overall health of your hair.

Because colour adheres differently to grey hair, it is important to perform a strand test if you have a lot of grey. Hair that has been permed, previously coloured or chemically altered in any way has a tendency to become damaged, brittle and more porous. As a result, colour will adhere to it differently and will vary from application to application. We recommend you repeat the strand test prior to using this product if your hair has been chemically treated since your last application or if there is significantly more grey since the last time you used it.

Please note: For best results please avoid using this product if you have recently chemically treated your hair within the 2 months and if your hair is currently damaged, brittle and more porous than usual.

What are the ingredients?

Indigofera Tinctoria: A safe, natural plant colour (deep blue to purple). Contains antiseptic properties. Lawsonia Inermis: (Henna Extract) a staple in shampoos and hair rinses for thousands of years for its colouring and/or conditioning properties. In its most common form, it is used to impart red or reddish-brown tones to the hair. Non-colouring (neutral) henna adds body and highlights without altering the hair colour. Emblica Officinalis: (Indian Gooseberry) used as a natural colouring agent in henna hair preparations. Eclipta Alba: (False Daisy) used as a natural colouring agent in henna hair preparations. Acacia Cathechu: (Katha) used as a natural colouring agent in hair preparations.

HOW LONG DOES THE COLOUR LAST?
This is a semi permanent colour and will last between six and eight weeks, dependant on the number of times you wash your hair and the aggressiveness of the cleanser in your shampoo. We recommend using a natural shampoo with a mild surfactant to cleanse gently.

WHAT ABOUT GRAY?
You can achieve very good coverage of Gray hair with Logona herbal hair colours. For 50% gray coverage and above, start with Chestnut Brown or Natural Brown, as these contain very little henna. Use as a base coat and then repeat with a darker colour. You can also mix black tea with the powders to achieve an even darker colour. Remember to remove the leaves from the Tea bag as these bags can contain bleach.

IMPORTANT POINTS!
Don't mix our colours with chemical products. The results can be disastrous. If your hair was chemically dyed before, wait at least five - six weeks before applying Logona.

Do always strand test, especially with gray hair. Remember, you can leave Logona on for anything from 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the colour you want to achieve.

Don't expect Brown hair to become Blonde. These colours will accentuate and darken hair, not lighten it.

Do use lemon juice to remove any staining on exposed skin, on the face or hands.

Do mix our colours. Your imagination is the only limit and you can combine our colours with complete safety.

Directions: Please consult the instruction guide included in the packaging. Because of high chlorophyll content, this product should not be used on very grey or very blonde hair, since these light hair shades could develop an unattractive green nuance. In general, if you have blonde hair, do not allow the treatment to stay on longer than 10-15 minutes in your hair. Always test a strand first.
