The in-pack leaflet states this product will only keep for a limited period once opened. A bottle only a quarter full, and therefore containing a lot of air, may deteriorate it left unused for a length of time. This is shown by a rancid smell emerging from the bottle. A tip to help extend the life of any oil based product is to wipe the outside of the top of the bottle after use.
