Origin and properties of the Unscented Ingredients: Soap, Sugar Surfactant and Coconut-Oil Alcohol Sulphate work together in a complementary and intensifying way in this liquid detergent. For the Soap, vegetable oil from certified organic cultivation is saponified using a special process using potassium hydroxide and no external heat input. Soap as an active washing substance embodies in a unique way all the properties required for the washing process: moistening, loosening and absorbing dirt. The effect of the Soap is intensified by the Sugar Surfactant and Coconut Oil Alcohol Sulphate. These 2 agents are derived from purely plant-based raw materials (sugar, starch and coconut oil) by chemical conversion using acids. At the same time, this combination eliminates the disadvantage of Soap, namely the formation of calcified soap, which can be deposited on the laundry if the softener dosage is not accurate. The Alcohol, which is derived from the fermentation of vegetable starch, helps keeping the detergent liquid and thus allows a high concentration of the wash-active ingredient.

Special Product Feature: The special energy-saving method of saponification, the use of oils from certified biological cultivation and an extremely favourable price/washing performance ratio for a unscented liquid detergent are the outstanding features of this product.

By means of mechanical processes like pressing and centrifugation, the olive oil is extracted. When saponified with potassium hydroxide, it forms the main constituent of the Sonett Olive Washing Liquid for Wool and Silk. Olive oil is the best oil raw material for making mild soap and restoring the deficient protective hydrolipidic film. Its balanced fatty acid composition, curative balancing effect on the heart and circulatory system and the remarkable development of the olive tree on a 7-year cycle demonstrate the special proximity and relationship of this oil to humans. Rape Seed Oil soap: rape seed oil saponified with potassium hydroxide serves to increase the washing power. In addition to flax and sunflower, rapeseed is one of the few oil fruits which are cultivated for oil production in our temperate central European climate, also certified organically grown. Ethanol: It is derived from the fermentation of starch-containing plants such as maize and potatoes. Ethanol helps to keep the soap liquid, while at the same time improving the fat-solubility of the detergent. Logona LavaErde Ghassoul Clay Powder: Perfect for dry hair and sensitive skins. Pure hectorite powder from the Moroccan mountains is used in Spas across the UK. It is a non-surfactant earth powder that can be used to cleanse hair and skin. It's high mineral content attracts dirt and oils to it, and are rinsed away with warm water. This non-detergent formula is perfect for those who want a totally natural hair and body cleanser or for eczema and psoriasis sufferers who cannot tolerate soap. Especially recommended to cleanse sensitive or blemished skin and oily or dandruff hair types. Logona Ghassoul contains only pure, refined cosmetic clay.

Logona LavaErde Ghassoul Clay Powder: To use: for hair: mix 1-2 level tablespoons (for shoulder length hair) of LavaErde with one-half cup of warm water. Allow to stand briefly until the mixture develops a creamy gel-like consistency. If you have dry hair, we recommend adding a couple of drops of quality vegetable oil. Massage the mixture thoroughly into your damp hair. Allow to remain in your hair briefly before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. A second washing is not necessary. Condition and dry your hair as you normally do.

Sonett Handsoap Neutral/Unscented: Special Product Feature: The oils in this Sonett hand soap come from 100% certified organic cultivation. The coconut oil comes from a Fair Trade project in the Dominican Republic. The olive oil is obtained from cooperatives in Spain, Italy and Greece.

Sonett Handsoap Neutral/Unscented: Ecology/Biodegradability: Soap from vegetable oils has the unrivalled property of forming a compound immediately after use with the lime which is always present in waste water. In this way, the soap neutralizes its own surfactant effect (primary degradation). This primary degradation occurs within a few hours. The calcium soap is then 100% degraded by microorganisms to carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation). Besides the natural glycerin which is released during the saponification of the oils, we use vegetable glycerin which binds the skin moisture. Ethanol is reintegrated into the natural cycle within a few hours. In the manufacturing process of sugar surfactant, constituents are taken from the plant-based raw materials starch, sugar and fat; however, they completely retain their natural structure. It is therefore relatively easy for microorganisms to 100% decompose these surfactants. Soap and Sugar surfactants are classified as readily biodegradable according to OECD.
