Inika Eye Shadow Application Tips
Mineral Eyeshadows are multipurpose. They can be used as shadows, highlighters, contour powders and eyeliners.
Eyeshadow is best applied with Inikas Eyeshadow Brush. Pick up a little powder, press the product into the brush head to reduce fallout, tap off the excess, and apply as desired.
Use light colours to highlight the brow bone. Use medium colours on the eyelid. Use dark colours to contour the eye socket and/or line the eye.
Use the Mineral eyeshadow over Inika eyeliner for dramatic and iridescent colour with optimal sheen. After applying base colour, use your Inika eyeliner to draw a thin line on your top lid just above the eyelash. Then with your angled Inika brush, dip into powder, shake off excess and going from the outside in, draw your brush over the top of the eyeliner to create impact. You will see the colour intensify as you go!
Dry powder cannot go over wet powder, it lessens the impact.
For night wear more dramatic colours and contouring is appropriate.
Wet: Mix a small amount of Mineral Eyeshadow with water or moisturiser to create a crème eyeshadow and sweep it across the eyelid for intense luster.
To create the crème shadow, lift some powder using your brush into the eyeshadow pot lid. Next dip your brush in water and mix into a paste in the lid. Be careful to get the right consistency. Be careful not to place wet brushes into the powder pots themselves.
Or apply with Inika angle brush as a liquid eyeliner - a thin line of paste makes a beautiful wet liner and also creates a dramatic look on the eyelid.
Inorganic minerals are naturally resistant to bacterial contamination, but getting them wet can compromise that. Please keep wet brushes out of the powder to maintain their longevity.
