| When skin is happy and content, we hardly notice it at all... it is not until something goes wrong, then we really feel the skin irritations! For some of us, we seem to be more aware of our skin/our bodies and unfortunately can experience numerous irritations, such as the changes in the seasons and/or allergies. | What kind of Facial Cleanser makes sensitive skin happy? Well, we have some excellent varieties of facial cleansers available, depending on your needs. If you have dry skin, and are not at all oily, you will find deep comfort in the Aubrey, Weleda and the Logona Cleansers. If your skin is combination to oily, or just plain oily, the Pure Earth option is ideal. These remarkable cleansers cleanse the skin and do not strip the precious skin acid mantle, leaving the pH balanced and a 'I don't notice my face' feeling. | Is it a good idea to use a Toner for my sensitive skin? My recommendation is to just use a splash of fresh water - less is always best. But, if you simply must have a Toner, then I would recommend the following, who are the likely suspects to choose from, according to your needs:

Is it a good idea to use an exfoliant & mask? This is a good question... again, I am so sorry to be boring! But really, the less the skin has to deal with the better in an irritated state... but... if you absolutely MUST need to exfoliate the skin/want to use a mask/experienced enough of the dull and lacklustre look of your skin, then perhaps a little indulgence won't hurt, too much? blemishes/sores... (never ever exfoliate the skin when in the middle of a breakout/open/weeping spots - the infection will spread!). The ideal time for a mask and exfoliating session is about once a week, this is the absolute maximum usage. Ideal is about once every 2 weeks. When the skin is balanced and in optimum/healthy skin condition - the urge to mess about with the skin will subside... this moment is a truly momentous event when a sensitive skin person achieves this level of balance! | Lightly moisturise... apply sparingly, do not smother the face. Firstly, this is a waste, and secondly, sensitive skins cannot tolerate too much on the skin... apply only what is needed. We have a selection below, which can cover any number of varying types of sensitive skin... dry/mature, to combination/oily to problem skin. The skin really doesn't need too much in respect to skincare, in order to function, it is a rather amazing piece of engineering! All those functions the skin performs! Unfortunately, there are times when unbalanced states take us by surprise, but by sticking with the 'less is best' motto the skin will come back to normal functioning very soon. But saying that, some of us still may need to pay extra attention to our skin, but with a little patience and understanding, the balance can be regained quicker each time a crisis occurs... Is a night cream necessary? What does your skin tell you? Is it still thirsty from the day? Then yes, you can of course apply your daily moisturiser as a night time cream. For oilier skin types, again, apply sparingly if your skin requires moisture. Sometimes, for combination to oily skin types, leaving the skin bare for a night is a very refreshing way of achieving skin oil/sebum balance.
