 | How to maintain healthy teeth & gums • Brush for two minutes twice a day. • Use a soft-bristled brush and extend your brushing time. • Massage your gums to boost circulation to the gum tissue. • Floss after meals. • Remove plaque that builds up and calcifies around your gums. • Eat the right foods; whole, fresh foods - such as carrots, apple and celery. • Avoid processed and sugary foods. • Starches, such as bread, crackers and cereals together with sugary foods cause acids to form. Acid attacks tooth enamel and can lead to tooth decay in the long-term. • Avoid high foaming toothpaste with Sodium lauryl sulfate as this may irritate your gums and might cause bleeding gums and encourage mouth ulcers. • Also avoid Triclosan, a synthetic antibacterial ingredient that may affect the natural protection of the gums. |
All Green People's toothpastes are formulated with organic essential oils, Vitamin C & Myrrh to give protection against bacterial growth, one of the main causes of gum disease. Aloe Vera, an ingredient in both the Citrus and Minty Cool toothpastes, is added for its soothing effect on tender, sensitive gums & is also known to reduce swelling & is a powerful antiseptic in gum pockets where normal cleaning is difficult.Green People do not use - Sodium lauryl/laureth sulphate (SLS/SLES), Artificial sweeteners, Fluoride, Ethyl alcohol, Colourings, Synthetic flavourings or Preservatives in any of their products. Did you know...? You can use Green People's Mandarin toothpaste even before your baby’s first tooth emerges. Simply smear a small amount onto a clean fingertip and rub it gently over the gums. Babies love the taste and it may help reduce the discomfort of teething. Babies who are used to having their gums cleaned regularly should take more easily to tooth brushing later on too. | |
