It is caused through various natural and industrial processes including pesticide spraying and chlorine bleaching of materials used to produce paper products such as tissues, sanitary pads and tampons. That’s why we make sure Natracare products are totally chlorine free (TCF).

Natracare Tampons are made from Organic Cotton
Pesticide use is widespread in the world and is harmful to humans and the environment. Making organic choices helps reduce environmental pollution and personal exposure to dioxins. That’s why we ensure Natracare tampons and feminine wipes are made using only certified organic 100% cotton.

Natracare are made from Natural Materials

Many gynaecologists advise such women to change to Natracare all-cotton products in order to avoid synthetics and chemicals common in hygiene products. A word about Toxic Shock Syndrome
Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is a rare but fatal disease caused by a particular type of bacteria that can produce toxins in the body. The symptoms of TSS come on fast and are often severe.

Results of a study published in ‘The Journal of Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynaecology’, suggest that the use of 100% cotton tampons may reduce the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome compared with tampons that contain rayon.

The study was carried out on 20 tampon varieties, including Natracare’s 100% organic cotton tampons and concluded that all-cotton tampons did not produce the dangerous TSS toxin from the bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, while other tampons did. * Natracare tampons are made from organic, 100% cotton and do not contain synthetic materials such as rayon.
